Kunene Basket – Set of 3

These unique vessels have been woven by hand with close attention to pattern, form and colour. Each one is crafted using durable elephant grass. The artists add water to soften the grasses enough to sculpt them into their organic and unique shapes. Coloured stitching then covers the entire vessel giving each one it’s unique personality.

Please note the Mali Basket Vase is not included in the set and is featured purely for size context.

Inspired by the colours of the deserts of the Kunene region of Namibia, this set of 3 baskets is crafted by hand ensuring no two are alike. Horizontal stripes, woven handles and the fascinating colours of each basket compliment the set to ensure they make a statement as décor pieces. Their unique shape also ensures multiple uses.
