Rattan Square Basket – Small

This small square Rattan basket is a versatile and stylish addition to every living space. Store everything indoors or on a covered patio from blankets, fire wood and wine bottle to books, magazines, toys and pot plants. Structured holes in the sides ensure it is secure and easy to carry.

Rattan weaving and detailed shaping is done using the plant stem itself as opposed to cane which is made from a more pliable skin of the plant. This makes a rattan product way more robust and strong, ensuring a longer life of service to you.

The Kubu process is achieved naturally by soaking the rattan in local clay or a pond of leaves and sun-drying it before weaving. This process is a natural treatment against woodworm and other bugs. It also changes the plant to a natural grey colour that eventually fades to a pale earthy grey making it suitable for most modern homes and interiors.
